Position of an Adverb in a Sentence

Examples:

1- I like coffee very much (The adverb follows the verb and the object; it can't be used between the verb and the object!)

2- She quickly closed the window

    He carefully opened the door

    They slowly walked to school

    (The adverb of manner is between the subject and the verb to give emphasis)

3- They have already left

     He has never been to England

     I am still studying the lesson

     She will rarely go to the movies

     We're always learning English

     (The pre-verb adverbs come before the main verb)

4- Adverbs which are normally put before the main verb: still, just, already, seldom, always, often, rarely, , hardly, only, little, never, sometimes, frequently, usually, quietly, and many other ones

5- He ran to work in a hurry (The adverb of manner comes in the end of the sentence)

6- He flew to London yesterday

    Yesterday he flew to London

    (The adverb of time can be used either in the end or in the beginning of the sentence)
